Why it matters
When your name is "P Town Bar" on your site but "P-Town Bar" on Google, assistants aren't sure they're the same business. Mismatches make you harder to recommend — and easier to skip.
How the check works
- We read your website first
Your business name, address, and phone are pulled automatically from your site's structured data — you don't type them.
- Compare against your listings
Check that your Google, Yelp, and Facebook listings say exactly the same thing. If anything differs, update your Google Business Profile to match.
Fixing mismatches
Pick one canonical spelling — the one on your website is usually right — and update every listing to match it exactly. Same abbreviations, same punctuation, same phone format. Then re-scan to confirm.
Check suite numbers and "Blvd" vs "Boulevard" first — those tiny differences cause most mismatches.
